Did anyone watch last night?I thought it was much better than celebrity poker. Still some stupid stuff but it felt like a real game amoung friends.Who would have thought of Phil Laak being a dealer and a moderator? He seemed so much more low keyed than he normally does when he is on TV.Now here is the strange thing that I noticed and that I actually think is really cool. Laura Prepon is the creator of the show! I saw it in the credits!

It was cool to see a Royal Flush in a game, never having seen one myself.I really liked this show although for the sake of time, instead of selecting hands to show, they seemed to go into fast forward. That was a bit tough to swallow. I think they've learned from the other shows. Keep the chip count present at all times, inject commentary in front of the players (instead of out of earshot), show people swearing, smoking and drinking, like a real home game (although I don't let people smoke and I've stopped drinking except non-alcoholic beer). Phil's tips were a bit lame, but I'm sure they'll develop over time. I noticed Laura Prepon was the show creator and I'm pleased because this show is not really a "Me too" but rather somewhat different. Injecting real life even though these folks are celebrities (mostly). I think this has promise. Although I'm looking forward to Daniel's appearance on the other show, you remember from his blog when he played against some firefighters? I think that's a great concept, a pro playing against amateurs and fleecing them. Seems to me it shows really how good the pro's are.
Any fool can tell the truth, but it requires a man of some sense to know how to lie well.
