I'm pleased to hear that you're enjoying the game. I look forward to the blogs where you are talking about breaking 80 and shooting under par for nine holes. When I am in Las Vegas, I play TPC Summerlin frequently. It's a wonderful course. I'd urge you to practice your short game to pick up the most strokes quickest and work a bit on your course management. (Much as you would do at the poker table).Golf is a game that is also never mastered. You and all of us addicted to it are only the space between your ears away from playing to our potential. From your blogs, it sounds as if you have the potential to be a mid-80's player if you bring the same concentration you do to golf that you bring to poker. Then, you'll improve your technique (swing, etc.) to make the next quantum jump.Good luck with your golf and your poker. Remember no dice roll is ever long enough and no golf score is low enough. I agree fully with burgerman's way to cut strokes. Hardly ever does even a tour player hit 18 greens in regulation and for a common player it's way under 50% average so the best way to cut strokes is by getting up and down as much as possible.

The greatest feeling in golf is the 300+ yard drive.Make that your goal, and the rest is just gravy

i agree with burgerman as well. I work at a country club out here in Michigan and we have old men in there 70's who only hit the ball about 150 yards off the tee. But they shot in the 80's. Its all because of their chipping and putting. For instance, on par 4's these guys will hit a straight drive, a straight approach shot that ends up short of the green, and then a straight chip and then either a one or two putt. Its all about the short game.Allthough hitting the ball 300+ is fun.Drive for show, putt for dough.

I live in Plymouth, between Ann Arbor and detroit. I went to school at Michigan State. I watched the Buick on T.V. but i got to go last year and watch live. Its an awesome tournament.

what ever he wants to put in his posts is fine by me, but i would like to hear about some poker stuff, not just golf, i mean i enjoy golf, but when it comes to big money poker, i feel only DN can tell it the best.

I love when he talks about golf. It was hilarious when he was showing Ivey's swing and he stuck his butt out, then said in an undertone that Ivey was better than him anyways. It was funny.
