Call. If we're beat (22, JT, AJ, TT), then I save myself money. If we're ahead, I keep him in the pot and let him bluff at the river.

For the record, SB only has $121 behind at this point, so he's probably pushing the river if he's ahead. Duly noted for the rest though.

so that makes it a call more than a push. I don't think we're ever considering folding unless it's live against a 80 year old man.

What do we put him on.Spade draw? Straight draw?If we do, we HAVE to raise here...it would be a mistake not to...we're giving him a free draw AND likely won't get any money if he misses it. Would Hero rather him pay a bad price to chase a draw, or HOPE that he bluffs when he misses it?If we're behind, we're probably not getting away from the hand anyway, so there's no difference in pushing here or calling a push on the river. The fact is, if we think we are behind calling is a terrible mistake - we don't have the implied odds to cover the 3-outer.If we're way ahead, eg. 88/JQ, or he's drawing dead (Tx, no 2orJ), is the only time it MIGHT be a mistake in raising...and it's likely that if he will fold a push on the turn that he'll fold to any bet on the river, and in many cases he'll call a push on either the turn or the river.

Dont mind calling, then letting him bet the river. Question is, if he doesnt put it in on the river, we raising?

All right. Good feedback. I think I might have played this one wrong. I figured that he probably had trips (of which I was more likely to be ahead then behind), and I also figured that with the board that coordinated, a delayed semi-bluff was a possibility so I pushed. He claimed to have a pocket pair and folded. Whether this mean 33 on a bluff or QQ making a big laydown, I have no idea.Looking back at the hand though, even with the cooordinated board, I think checking the flop with the intent of check/raising the turn on a semi-bluff would be a pretty ballsy play, and one that comes along rarely enough that it wasn't much of a worry. With position, I should have smooth-called, and pushed the river against a bet or value bet it against a check.
