Even though I hate calling off a huge chunk of my chips with small mid pairs, I think you'd still have enough even if you lose. I'd probably make the call here. That's how I feel about the situation.-------edited------I retract my option here only because I see that you will be getting hit with the BB and SB. So I might actually give this up because you'll still have plenty of chips.

You can get your money in better then that. He's not desperate and he's willing to play for all his chips vs an UTG open-raise. If you were willing to go all-in with 77, then you should've open-jammed. Your M is under 10.-M
SavageHenry 0
i think id fold here. if it were 3 handed or something i might call but 6 handed i give him credit and look for a better opportunity. Your read says he pretty solid and hasn't stepped out of line so at best your flipping a coin with a pretty decent chance your behind something like JJ.
fckthis 0
Easy fold. Next.
gobears 0
I would fold here - the best you can hope for is a coin flip and you could be dominated.Your read is that villain plays fairly tight mostly playing premium hands - that and he pushed with four to act after him indicate to me that he again has a premium hand.Your M is 8 after a fold and you're still middle of the pack at this table so you're still in decent shape even with the blinds hitting you next. monix 0
I fold here. I expect to see something like TT+ here, where we are a huge underdog. Even if we expand the range to TT+, AQ+, we are still a pretty big dog...
Actuary 3
fold.your stack is very strong stillWith your M, I'm probly folding this in 1st pos, not raisng to 60k.Was table tight? and Blinds not defending?Am I retarded?
SavageHenry 0
6 handed there is nothing wrong with raising it up. lol i tend to raise it up 10 handed though too which i have been told by troyomac is called overplaying a small pp.
Briguy 0
We've been playing somewhat tightly at the final table. Easy fold. I don't mind the original raise if a UTG raise regularly wins the blinds uncontested. Given that you raised from UTG, I doubt MP is doing this with 66-.
CobaltBlue 662
In this particular hand, I'm actually MP. I held AKo. UTG hesitated slightly but made the call. The board bricked and I went to the rail. Immediately, I gave him credit for making a "good call", but when I looked back at it, I agree with you guys that it seems like a marginally bad one based on my range and pot odds. He made a horrible call with his hand. But thats what donkeys do, they call of their chips with small PPs

I still don't make the call with 77 though.
ChrisRichey 1
So, is the jam with AK good, or do you call and see a flop?
tskillz187 0
So, is the jam with AK good, or do you call and see a flop?Def don't take a flop. The jam is right.
The Nuts 0
If you want to gamble, you're probably in a race.In this situation, discretion is the better part of valor. I lay this down, but I'm a pretty tight player. Better spots will come along.
Actuary 3
So, is the jam with AK good, or do you call and see a flop?because of the blinds/antes and money from UTG raise, AK should jam this all day with his Stack. Any fold equity here is huge. We can add 100k to our stack if UTG folds. THat is significant.Furthmore, and this is huge, the majority of hands that we are behind to here that will call are underpairs. Seeing only 60% of the board can make for a difficult decision if UTG puts in a large flop bet. We'd like to see all 5 cards.Smaller blinds/larger stack, we can call or raise less. Jamming is never that wrong though in any circumstance.

I would fold 77 there getting less than 2-1 on the pot and with a nice stack still in front of me.
