Bet to protect from the flush on the flop. I've played with spades67 before and i really didn't put him on a pocket pair. The turn paired the board, but once again i really didn't see it helping him, but he called my bet which worried me. I'm pretty sure he's just going crazy chasing a flush draw at this point. River comes, and i'm pretty sure i'm beat but i'm pot committed. Any thought as to what he had?
Suited_Up 2
Yeah, just seems real fishy of him... but could be a couple hands.Maybe Q10... 9-10 of diamonds... but those probably make too much sense. How about 66?
hoppityhow 0
nope neither of those are right, infact they all make way too much sense. he turned over 26o , which baffled me. - the river call, did i play this right? once i got called on the turn, i figured i was beat, but. Monkeyman 0
nope neither of those are right, infact they all make way too much sense. he turned over 26o , which baffled me. - the river call, did i play this right? once i got called on the turn, i figured i was beat, but.Your pot odds on that call are 1475:125, almost 12:1. Without a prior read on the player, I'd call the bet on the pot odds alone. He could have a flush or a full house or all sorts of other crazy stuff, but his betting and calling seems pretty random to try and put him on anything. After seeing the results, though, it's worth taking a note on this guy -- cold-calling with 62o pre-flop tells me that he's pretty loose (I'd say maybe desparate, too, but his stack wasn't nearly small enough compared to the blinds for him to be desparate yet) and you need to be aware first that he'll call pre-flop raises with nothing, and second that you can't put him on a hand after the flop. That's most of what you're going to gain from this hand -- not advice on how to play it next time, but advice on how to play HIM next time.
