how to play kk when ace hits the flop....

I just got KK and raised it 2.5 x the blind. Had 3 callers. Flop shows:A A JI raise it and get called all in. I fold. I'm sure I was beat, but this raises the question:How do you play your Kings when an ace hits the flop?

i raise 4x bb or more sometimes depending on how many limpers before me if he calls and an a hits i make a strong bet if he reraises ill foldif he bets i reraise he calls ill still bet out on the flop even if an ace hits

move in pre flop or raise a lot more than 2.5x bb if there are 3 limpers, that raise is almost like callingyou dont want to play kk 4 handed

How do you play your Kings when an ace hits the flop?I'm ussually pushing pre-flop, so ussually I just say "huh. Hope he doesn't have an ace."

if you see a flop with KK and an ace comes you have to lead out with a bet. how the other guy responds should tell you if you're beat or not. often times you'll just take the pot down right there. don't get trapped.

I don't know how many people were sitting, but 2.5x is a raise that allows a lot of middle aces to get their money in.

I have to agree with absoloute.You don't want 4 callers with KK. I would have raised 4-6xBB.That may win the pot right there or at least limit the number of callers.Even though there are 2 aces showing, the fact that you have 3 callers means there's a good chance one of them has an ace. I would bet about half the pot after the flop to find out where I stand. If you get reraised, you should let this one go. A check would be horrible in this position because if an opponent bets, you would not know whether he has aces, or a lower pair.
