I'm looking for a dvd player that can play the dvds that I have burned using my computer. My XBox and another dvd player I have are unable to play them. I could just use my computer to watch them but I wanted something that could plug into my TV. Anyone have any ideas?

Most old players don't like burned DVD's, but most new ones do. I went with Pioneer DV-563A. Superthin, silver, plays everything. This model isn't new anymore, but it got the job done at a good price
And while your at it, make sure it has progressive scan and HDMI Output if you ever plan on using HDTV - you need this for best HDTV picture.

There are a few DVD players out there that are considered HD that play in close to HD picture. They're called "upconvergence (SP?)" DVD players and they either have a DVI or HDMI input. I have one and it's excellent. I purchased one for 60 bucks including shipping.
Since then they've also come out with DVD players that play in true HD and they're like 600 - 1000 bucks. But to get the true HD picture you also have to have a new HD DVD. They're about 2-3x the price of the regular DVD.
If you decide you want either one of these type DVD players make sure your TV has either a DVI or a HDMI connection.
a DVI connection gives you the best possible picture in HD and a HDMI connection gives you the best possible picture and the best possible sound connection as well.

Go to Walmart. Pay $33 for a small one that hooks up easily and will play all your DVDs.

Had one of those - it played everything, but on 30% of the DVDs it would have a horribly dark picture. I guess you get what you pay for.
