H/l Made Low + Gutshot

I've been playing quite a bit of h/l stud recently and was wondering about said topic. I couldn't find anything to that specific effect in either Sklansky or Brunsons' section on h/l in both Super Systems. So...On 5th street you're heads up in a pot with a made low and a gutshot straight draw, and you're opponent has no low draw and is at best playing two pair, is it correct to jam the pot? I would think any made low with scoop potention is freerolling in that spot and should be jamming. Just wondering what others think.

on 5th or 6th street if its not possible for your opponent to make a low and you already have a made low with any sort of potential yes it is correct to jam in a tournament situation, in a cash game it depends on what sort of scoop potential you have, because by pumping the pot you are forcing yourself to pay extra rake in a spot where you probably arent going to win any more money than you are putting in, so if you only have like 2 or 3 outs then its not worth it up jam it up with only a low, but in a tourney situation heads up vs no possible low you should absolutely jam the pot every time.

I was wondering about the rake, and had meant to bring that up in the OP. But if you're playing live, chances are you've hit the max rake by 5th st, no? So you'd be in a similar situation I would think.damn, I love h/l.

I assume that your made low is a wheel, right?Jam, jam, jam. You're guaranteed half the pot. Now you freeroll for the high pot.

if you have a made low and he has no low possible, jam and jam and jam.in live settings they don't rake depending on pot size. i didn't know they did this online but if they do it doesn't matter. jam.there are so many possible hands you could hit (two pair, trips, straight, possibly pair your ace) that give you scoop potential you shouldn't worry about it.
