So both of these guys are under 23 and have 2 WSOP braclets. Who do you think will have a bigger future in poker? I'm picking Eric because you can go on a rush and win two tournaments in a short span of time. But to come back a whole year later and win another braclet in a different event really proves you've got game IMO.

im going with E-Fro tooi believe he won 2 bracelets in LHE and PLO so i'd give him the edgemadsen is a badass tho....2 bracelets at 21

Its way too early to tell who is going to have the bigger future in the poker world. They are both very young and if they keep at it they have many years to improve their poker game or give it up entirely. I say wait 2-4 years and look at their stats and then you'll be able to see whos better. Hell in 4 years they could both be totally forgotten you never know.

well, i'm going with E-fro bc he seems to be more balanced. I believe Madsen cashed out his college fund to play in the series, and that's a huge donkey move. It also suggests to me that he has very poor BR management.

Not only does Jeff Madsen have 2 bracelets in this world series, but he also finished 3rd in an omaha event... Unreal...

also, Jeff Madsen seemed interested in finishing college, not only because it's the right thing to do, but because he is interested in a film career. He seemed to enjoy film just as much as poker, if not more imo. So who knows. He plans on playing the circut though, EFro didn't play in a single tournament outside WSOP that I know of

Well Eric came back to win in a different event, but Madsen did take 3rd in Omaha High-Low 8/OB so it's not like he's just another NLHE donk on a rush. I suppose it's true anyone can go on a heater and "win two tournaments in a short span of time" but I think it should be noted that Madsen is only the 5th person to win two bracelets in one year in the post-Moneymaker boom.

He essentially got his parents as backers, nothing really donkish about that.

"...My wife and I decided that we would be confident that he would bring the buy-ins back, that he'd be in the money. We gave him some money and he had a college fund that his grandfather started for him and he took some money out of that. He's going to be a senior, he's almost done, and there's always some extra money there."

He lives in a richass neighborhood, it doesn't seem like he or his parents are struggling at all. A lot of "pros" are playing on borrowed money, that seems more donkey than getting backing from mom & dad.

Not to take anything away from Eric, but the results show Jeff Madsen. He has 2 bracelets with a 3rd in omaha at 21 and his first World Series.
