Abbaddabba 0 Posted July 23, 2006 Share Posted July 23, 2006 It's not good, but it's not unbelievably bad.I posted the other day about 3 consequtive hands at 5/10 that were worth an assload. I lost about 25bets in those 3 hands alone.200 bets in 5 hours is really not good though. Ive NEVER had a 200 big bet downswing, nevermind in 5 hours. Link to post Share on other sites

Dunno why.Hey abba - the few times I took stabs at 5/10 limit, I've seen numerous plays where ppl will limp w/JJ and not 3bet when raised pf. Is 5/10 really that tricky? Esepcially the 50bb in one hour if one is multi-tabeling. you'll get out of it no worries! (Hopefully it wasn't do to tilting ) About Tilting I look at it as "time" lets say one averages about $25 an hour and then Tilts and loses $100 do to "TILT" its not necessarily losing "$100" Its actually going to be a WASTE OF TIME! Most people do the 300bb yet others 500bb I personally do 1000bb since I like a nice little cushion. Also Have you invested in PokerTracker? And have you attempted to look through your hand historys? Take notes on players periodically? How about trying moving down a few levels to build some confidence? Well GL 2 U hope things turn around Link to post Share on other sites

Just my 2 Cents GL 2 Utyi'm happy to say that1st session of -50bb - it took me a 5 hour session to fight it and break virtually even (without rake)2nd session - I fought it back and with rake back broke even.As for the -200bb session, with rake back (i'm playing at WPX), I have basicallyi broken even for the week. Sooooo much work. At least I'm not broke though. Funny, the one thing that makes me want to play poker more than ever is the act of recovering from a losing session. But so is raising with no pair no draw in a huge pot against multiple aggressors. They'd never see THAT one coming!The quality of the 5/10 games varies. There isnt a huge difference between 3/6 and 5/10 typically though. There's a much bigger jump when you move up to 10/20. Link to post Share on other sites

roadhawg 0 Posted July 24, 2006 Share Posted July 24, 2006 200 BB in 5 hours is not good at all. something you might want to learn is to leave when you are losing a lot. i dont think i wil ever be in for 200 BB because i would have left at 80 or 100 at most. i am guessing that when you were down 100 you probably were playing to get even which is probably meant you were chasing a lot of draws you shouldn't have been. another thing is if i had a week like you have been having i might take a little break and come back in a couple of weeks.i am just curious about the 1000 BB br thing. why would you really ever need that much? isnt that a little much, cause that means you have $2000 just to play 1-2. also it would take forever to move up in limits. is there another reason for this much of a cushion?
