HtotheNootch 0
I didn't save the hand history, but if anyone's willing I'd like to hear some of your thoughts so please bear with me. .50/1.00 at PartyI'm dealt AA in early position, and raise. Three players call, including a maniac who ends up in last position, after everyone else fold behind him.Flop:4-5-9 rainbowI bet out. Other 2 players fold. Maniac raises. Now as I've said, this is a maniac. He could have absolutely anything. Two-pair, trips, and a straight draw are all within the realm of possibilities with this guy. Of course he could also have a pair of 4s with a 10 kicker, or possibly nothing so I have no clue. I decide my best course of action is to just call and see what happens.Turn:5dStill no flush possibility. However, now if he had a five he's got trips, or possibly a full. I also have two pair. I think throwing the hand away would be a mistake, but know that if I bet he'll raise, and I could be throwing money away. I decide to check and call, and if I don't improve on the river, I'll check and call. If I do improve, I'll check-raise (I'm positive he'll bet if I check, and probably even re-raise so I'll have a shot at a big pot if I improve).River: JcOkay so I check and call. He had 9-4. He had flopped two pair. I win a decent, but not large pot.Did I make a mistake playing as passively as I did.
Absolute 0
Just calling the raise is correct on the flop.with the turn card I would bet, and call his raise, same on the river.

Absolute 0
Cap the flop. Lead the turn. Call a raise. Check call the river. You played it weak. You are saying this twice because? He can't cap the flop, I guess he could three-bet it, but I think that is loose more than it is weak.I agree with the turn advice, as I had previously said the same thing. Same for river.
wrto4556 0
That's not loose. 3-bet him. Call the cap. lead the turn.

Vade 0
Yeah, he got lucky to flop two pair, but most of the time you're going to be up against A-9, K-9, Q-9, 6-7, etc
