I was playing .25-.50 NL and I have about $15. I get 9 :club: T :club: and I call a preflop raise of $1. Flop comes 2 :) 4 :club: 6 :D . He bets $2.50, I re-raise all in, he calls. He has pocket Queens, no diamond. Turn is Q :) and river is Q :D I just got beat by a (self censored) IDIOT!!! I dont see how these people do it. No matter how well I play, I get sucked out on. I guess I'll have to go with the Phil Hellmuth quote, "If there wasn't luck involved, I would win everyone." I had 97.1% chance to win with that flop. Then they try to talk trash like "you got owned!!!" If only someone would invent a monitor which allows you to stab someone through the screen..... there would be a lot of dead online poker players.

He probably assumed you were just as bad as all the other low NL players and put you on the naked ace flush draw. I don't think his call is that bad...

I hope the fish dont think I'm bad (ego talking) but then I do want them to so they will play hands that I have them totally dominated on. Apparently it didnt do any good here.

3 or 4 handed, I've been at the table with him for quite a few hands and have seen him raise $5 with Qx,Kx,Ax(x>4) Obviously he's not a good player. Dont even try to say my play was bad. It's shorthanded, you call a small raise with 9TD.

Ax, Kx, and Qx all beat the T9sMaybe I would call with the T9s, but that still doesnt mean its rightAnd i still love how you think his play was dumb, the way you bet it seems as you were protecting against a flush draw. He was perfectly right to call the allin there

There's definitely nothing wrong with calling a raise with 10-9s in a shorthanded no limit game. You can call with this at a full ring, if the situation is right... Still, he made a bad call with his queens, but not necessarily the wrong call. Know what I mean?

I don't think calling a raise with 10-9 sooooted is that bad pre-flop, but I just wanted to point something out. Saying that "It's shorthanded" hurts your argument because there is less of a chance that the implied odds of this hand will come into effect in a shorthanded game. So while I agree that calling standard pre-flop raise with 10-9s is okay, your argument isn't a convincing one. I also don't think his call was that bad. He certainly got lucky, but I don't think the play was horrendoes.

I really don't get some people  Don't blame him because he did exactly what you wanted him to do - call when he was a huge dog.If you want something to blame then blame the alignment of the planets or something like that cos this is just a case of real bad luck. :D

If you're playing 3 or 4 handed, you're bitching for no reason. With only one person seeing the flop, he had no good reason to believe that there was a made flush out there, especially considering that you bet it the way you did. From his perspective: He could have figured you to be a typical low stakes idiot who goes all in with nut flush draws. After all - if you had the flush, why would you bet more than double the pot? That suggests you dont want callers. If that's the case, with over pockets and two people seeing the flop, he thinks he's ahead. If i was in his position, i'd be more concerned about two pairs or a set than i would be of the flush. From your perspective:Any draw that he could be on that has the potential to beat you, you would WANT him calling. Betting more than double the pot decreases the probability of him calling significantly. You don't want to make his draw cheap, but you do want him to call. If you were betting absurdly high to make him think that you dont want callers (hence getting him to call), then congratulations. I dont think that was your intent nor do i think it would be an appropriate strategy, seeing as this is low stakes and people dont bother to read into plays to that degree. You seem to have played it just like him. The thought pattern was "ive got good cards, time to go all in".

Oh, and there's nothing wrong with calling 2x the BB with 9/10 suited, unless you're under the gun with 9 aggressive players to act, or something similar.

Meh, there isn't really anything you can do anyway. Even if you move in on the flop, there is a decent chance he calls.
