I have played in Detroit at Greektown Casino twice now and come out about even after 10 hours of play. The play is pretty loose and what usually happens is i build up a stack and then get a big pair busted, grind again and win most back.
My question is: How would you play at a table that is loose taking in mind the structure is pretty short..meaning you only have 50x the big blind. I am pretty convinced the strategy is to just push when you believe you have the best hand, nothing too cute. Any ideas?

Gamble.
Bring 2-4 buy-ins with you and get your money in with the best hand. Push hard, as multi-way all-ins are not uncommon.
My preferred method is to gamble up a very good draw and try to get as many people to come along as possible. It's a great way to get triple or quad stacked in a hurry, then play some real poker.

I'm actually going to be playing at Casino Windsor (15 min from Greektown) ,in the same game, in a few weeks when I'm in town so I would really like to see a few more different strategies on this thread..I'm planning on bringing 2-3 buy ins for each day and just pushing my big pairs, good draws, and sets really really hard

I don't think this is right, unless there are multiple big stacks at the table who you have an advantage over and you all plan on playing for a long time.
With a medium stack I think you should just play tighter (less implied odds) and more agressive than you would with a 100bb stack.
no set no bet

i've actually heard that this is a fairly solid strategy at low buy in games because most people are taking that approach and there will be a number of bigger stacks. (Disclaimer: I've never sat at a game that let less than 100BB's.)

What?!?! You've never played live where the blinds are $5/$10 and the max buy in is $50?!? =P

Don't play $1/2 at Windsor.
They charge you $6/half hour.
You give the casino 12% of your starting stack size
each hour to play the game.
No wonder the OP can't come out ahead. It's next to impossible to beat
that rake level.
