JackTheCat 0
Just looking to see if I played this right, (regardless of outcome).Guy to my right limps in, I raise with KK and he is the only caller, blinds folded.flop is rags nothing scary, he checks I bet and he calls.turn is the dreaded ace, he bets into me? Well, knowing that every fish with an ace will call even if they miss the flop, and I don't think the pot is big enough to chase a King, so I fold. (maybe my odds figuring was wrong, it's not my strong suit)He shows QQ. Nice play by him to see where I'm at. I think the players at full tilt are pretty good.Would any of you folded to the ace? or just call it down? In hind sight he may have checked the river if I had called the turn, or bet it out.. I'm not sure. Thanks for your input.JackTheCat
jayistheman 0
i would just call down... a better player will bet a scare card like that often... i don't see him calling with just a naked ace on the flop... but fish have done worse. you might think that he would raise with tptk or maybe mptk, so its hard to think he spiked an ace for 2 pair as well
KDawgCometh 2
No, raise. You need to know where he's at just like him checking to see where your at. Just because an ace comes and you have a high pair like Kings, Queens, or jacks doesn't neccessarily mean that they have one.

obs 0
Heads up, I am raising him after the turn here. If there were more people in the pot, I would be worried, but KK increases in value substantially with only two people. Of course him calling you down instead of raising with QQ on a rags flop is pretty passive. Still though, it takes quite a bit for me to fold KK heads up even with an A on the board. If the other guy is very aggressive back I might give it a second thought, but at the very least I think check/calling him down is worth it.
Bonobio 0
He's only raising because it's a cheaper way for him to see what you've got. If you are in the pot with Ax or Kx..he's toast. I think he realized that a little too late when he was slowplaying and was panicky.

But they aren't gonna have it more than you think. Don't play scared
MasterLJ 0
If he's full of it, your call is going to scare him into a check on the river. If he's not, he's going to bet into you again on the river. I'd call his initial bet =).
