So I'm new to the game of nL Omaha ($1-2 blinds) and I expierenced a bad bad beat Sunday! I have pocket QQ, Ah,3h So there were 5 of us in for a $5 pre-flop raise that I made in late postion. Then flop comes As Jh Jc and it gets checked back to me the raiser I bet $10 and get two callers BB and player to his left. The turn comes Qc so I have Queens full thinking I'm sitting good with close to the nuts, other than Aces full(I have one..)or 4 Jacks. So I push all in after it's checked to me for about $100 more and after a bit the other guy with a J 10 calls. Then the river comes J!... Now he river's his 4 of a kind, but my question remains that in Omaha you must use two cards from your hand and his ten doesn't beat the the Q or A on the board...Yes, after much debate he swooped the pot. I guess I just had a hard time realizing it after the bad beat. But can someone just reassure me that he did legitimatelyrake this pot with J10?... Thanks for the help! And my home game buddies are tired of me raking all thier money in th nl hold-em so they're trying new games...

Yeah, you have to use two card from your hand, and three from the board. The guy with J(whatever) would use the three jacks on board plus the one in his hand (And whatever the highest other card in his hand is, not that it matters much) to make his quads, which would beat your queens full. So yes, it's his pot. As an aside, pocket pairs in general can be very dangerous in Omaha (Particularly small ones, as it's less likely to hit an overcard with a pair like queens). But yeah, that's a pretty terrible beat.
