Turn: ($3.60) 9 (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $3, BB calls $3.

River: ($9.60) J (2 players)

He is a good laggy player, just wondering if this is good, a friend of my said he wouldn't bet the river. What do you think?

Now I am thinking I didn't bet enough and I left some money on the table.

I would have bet the flop a little harder (probably minimum pot-sized) because he could call with any type of draw for only $1.

His check calling looks like a stubborn middle pair with a flush draw so I would have tried to suck a little more out of him as you said but maybe slowed down a bit on the river.
