For Those Torrenting Fools

Recommended Posts

i had downloaded opera web browser last night, out of boredom, and also due to the fact that firefox was severely hogging my resources. well, i went over to the pokerbay to get the latest episode of HSP, and found out opera has a built in bittorrent client, that works with the pokerbay. so yeah, awesome. i figure i'd let you guys know about this.http://www.opera.comnot spam, i'm not affiliated with them.

i'm just saying it's good because you no longer have to bring up another app to do a torrent, just run it in the browser. it just hangs on another tab in opera.so far, it's running a lot better for me than bit tornado. and on top of that, i actually got leechers this time, whereas with bit tornado, i could leave a torrent up for three days and get one leecher.i had used opera back in the day, and wasn't fond of it, but it's gotten a lot better and lot easier to use. just like firefox.

I don't get the hype about different web browsers. Internet Explorer works fine for me, and so does BitTornado. Today I downloaded the most recent episode of HSP in 17 minutes; I love torrents.

ONLY YOU CAN HELP STOP PIRACY!
i chucked, nhand the hype about different web browsers is the feature/security that comes with each. firefox is hyped as the most secure, and also featured tabbed browsing, so you can have multiple pages open in one window. opera also has this, and opera also can remember what tabs you had open, and reopen them after you have closed and reopened the window.tests have been ran against firefox and ie, and it was found that firefox has a LOT less security holes than ie does. i don't know about opera, but i could guess it's around the same.

I downloaded it.Does it have the same spyware protection that Firefox has?And is there any plugins or updates that make it play videos? I freakin hate these 3rd party browsers with videos!!

IE is a POS, run it side by side with other browsers and you woudl actually see that for yourself.

I downloaded it. I REALLY like it also. It uses way less resources than firefox and I like the interface quite a bit more as well. Thanks for the tip!

IE, then Firefox. I still go to IE when things don't work on FF. But mostly FF.
so it's just the blog that isn't working? i'd go to macromedia, and double check to see if you've got opera's flash player installed.or maybe i'm misunderstanding.

Do you have to get it for each different browser? That's kinda stupid.

I always have. On Linux, I've always been able to get the source installer, and was able to just run an install for each browser I had. Takes 45 seconds.but after that, should be set. although my flash was working fine once i got opera installed, so i'm not sure.
