I havent put in a session in a while on a friday night and I am glad I am tonight...After around 30-45 minutes im up around 200 at 50nl

Heres a good reason why:

Flop: ($13.75) 9 , 9 , A (2 players)

Turn: ($13.75) 5 (2 players)

River: ($13.75) A (2 players)

Final Pot: $13.75

Results in white below:
BB has 8c 8s (two pair, aces and nines).
Hero has As Ks (full house, aces full of nines).
Outcome: Hero wins $13.75.

You're really starting to anger me... whether or not this particular thread belongs here is not my concern, but I do feel strongly that the goals threads should be here! Why not?! We are playing poker strategically, a lot of us for careers, and goals are a strategic part of any plan.

PLUS, we are our own little group, and we should cherish that, IMO.

the goals thread is a mask for a boast or moan thread.
it serves no strategic purpose

some posters think posting in General is beneath them (maybe that's wrong word); but for one reason or another they feel the need to post in Strategy stuff that does not belong here.

we used to call those posters Cu_in4yrs_Dan.

I like the goals thread. It's one of the more significant/entertaining threads here. If it got put in General, it would just fall off the thread, and everyone would forget about it. It's more than just bragging, it's basically monthly planning too.

Besides, what really "belongs" in General Strategy anyway? If you're talking about hands, it will fit into one of the other categories anyway, so all that really belongs in here are questions about how you use your money among different games, hence the goals thread.

thread was meant to be as kind of a happy weekend thread to show hands played good and so forth..wasnt meant as a brag thread for me specifically. I jsut hadnt been on party on a friday in a while so I thought id get one going. They have a weekly one on 2+2 so i was tryin to get a little something going here..

well I wanted to keep it exclusive to the more long term posters here instead of opening it up to those who come in to brag/make up stories about winning 1 brazillion dollars.

This being the more general thread that long term posters are in I chose here...deal with it actuary haha
