Is it posible to imporve your game playing play money games?I've been trying to improve my game by regestering here and playing more often. Unfortunatly right now I can not afford to play a whole bunch of real $ games so I play alot of play money games. With all the donkeys and people that just don't care cause it's not real money is it possible to improve your game? Thanks for the thoughts

All that will happen is over a long period of time you'll get a good feel of odds of hitting hands etc, but I don't think you would be able to improve your game to the point that you will be better than a break even player.Just my opinion anyway. If you really want to improve your game without spending money, read books and watch some of the better high limit players that do well.

No, I used to play with fake money and think i was ready. I was not. There is simply nothing better than experience.

Play in some $1 tournaments. They're still full of idiots, but its a lot better than play money. This will be a way for you to see a lot of hands for hardly any money...and maybe you can win a little.

It really depends on how bad you actually are. There gets to be a point where you basically can't learn anymore in play money. If your budget is extremely low and you feel that you have play money mastered you should probablly google some poker articles and play on a site that offers micro limit stakes. They have .01-.02 games on multiple sites these days. If you can't afford .01-.02 then you probablly should be worrying about other things more than your poker game right now.

one word. FREEROLLS. I'd be a losing player if it wasn't for them. Download Absolute Poker. The grinder just joined mark seif there. but thts not the point. they have 50 dollar freerolls nonstop all day. these are donkfests but they give you good experience tournament wise. Also, they sponsor dozens of small forum freerolls. There could be anywhere from 5-20 some freerolls a night. These are smaller fields and if you find the right forum, some play very seriously. The prize pools are generally 50-200 dollars with fields ranging from 50-3or400. if u have any questions about getting started with the forum freerolls on there just ask. glalso, like others said books are good too. when i read poker books i like to take notes. i think that helps me gain more from the reading

No this is not true. As of the moment my representative services have yet to be utilized by a poker site. In the future please don't start rumors.

im still not sold that many of these people that get these big online scores are winners when it comes to the live game, which, by the way, is real poker.

i'm actually of the (rare) opinion that playing play money tables can really teach you something about the game, although you'll need to get up to the higher "stakes" play money tables to have the play resemble anything near competent. but even when people are pushing all in every hand (which is why i'd recommend playing more limit than NL at low stakes play money), you can get a decent feel for starting hand requirements relative to a field, postflop odds, obviously, you won't learn much about how to read people or anything else related to "feel," but seeing more hands, even if they're full of donkeys, is never a bad thing.and as others have suggested, hit up some freerolls on whatever site you play. if you can win 10 bucks, you can play some micro limits, and the play there is significantly more like "real" play than the lower limit play money tables.good luck with the learning, and check out the micro limit strat forums to get yourself acquainted with how to talk strategy around these parts.

If there are two things LHE players like, they are weed and pornography. The third would be kittens. LHE does not appear on the list.

You can build a bank roll staring with a very nominal amount. I started with just $50.00 playing .10 .10 PL.I have cashed out a couple grand since then still have a couple grand on line, and make a few hundred bucks a month just messing around in the micro limits. Good luck
People don't say that about you as far as you know.
