I am traveling to LV in a couple of weeks from Thursday to Saturday. I have looked on pokerpages to find available NL tourneys and have found several options on the strip besides the larger Bellagio Friday event: Luxor, Mandalay Bay, Aladdin... I'm interested in hearing what anyone has to say about these-- Blind structures, # of players, how well they're run, etc. Thanks!

I have played tourneys at a few places in town. Luxor gives you only 300 or 400 chips with 15 min rounds and the blinds start at 25 and go up fast. The Sahara has a great tourney structure and there's three a day almost every day. 11am, 7 pm, 11pm $42, one $20 rebuy. You get 2000 chips, blinds go up every 20 mins and blinds start at 25-25, then go to 25-50 and then pretty much double every 20 mins.

The Plaza runs tourneys at 12pm, 4pm, 8pm and midnight. Pretty muck every day. They do have a big tourney starting in mid -April this would likely change the daily tourney schedule. I think $60 with an optional $10 addon that every player takes. Rebuys as well. Structure is simlar to the Sahara structure mentioned in previous post.KennyBanya

The Friday Bellagio is $1060 buy in, but you can get get in via a $270 satellite. Final two out of 10 get a seat.
You see, there are two kinds of people in this world my friend....Those with loaded guns (click) and those who dig....You dig.
