playing a big(ish) overpair to a 2-flush board (nl)

Hey folks, I had a hand tonight in a MTT where I'm dealt pocket 10s UTG+1. My overpair still seems good. I have to bet to protect my hand from those two damned clubs, though, right?Terry21859 checks.XParadox bets [200].ELEMENTLOVE raises [700].This had me scratching my head a bit, but this guy had been pushing 'all-in' to steal pots left and right. He seemed a somewhat knowledgeable player, though, so I don't think he would've called my pre-flop raise with a 9/7. Obviously a set worries me. Additionally, the flush draw, but laying down an overpair to an unmade hand seems weak to me, so I push all-in. ...Terry21859 folds.XParadox is all-In [860]ELEMENTLOVE calls [360].** Dealing Turn ** [ Kh ]** Dealing River ** [ Tc ]... and am sent home crying.My obvious question is, should I just have laid it down? The tournament was still in its early stages, but that guy had already worked up a big stack by pushing people around. Obviously, I'm worried about JJ, QQ, KK, AA, but I'd like to assume he probably would have reraised with those preflop (case in point, he pushed all-in preflop with a/q off and knocked someone out just a few hands earlier).Another thing I thought about afterwards - could I just have pushed in right off the bat and try to freeze him out? Was 'building the pot' wrong in that case?

My obvious question is, should I just have laid it down?The obvious answer is yes.Don't post results.I'd have laid it down to the flop raise anyway.

I think that you can try to protect it, but if he's willing to gamble then you'd best let it go when it's early. He could have had any two clubs, or worse yet playing 5c6c.

Also it helps if you just *cut and paste the actuall hand history in*It includes minor little things like what the blinds were, stack sizes, etc.
