When you're playing live, when you're dealt your cards, do you watch the other players and try to gauge their reactions to their cards, or do you look at your own cards and play more of a mathematics based game?
At my B&M, the lower limit games are filled with retirees, grandparents, and wanna be pro college kids. My bankroll only allows to me to play 2/4 and 3/6 for right now, which are typically loose as a sweater on Kate Moss.
Should I be watching the players, or just play my cards according to the action of the hand?
They tell me I have ADD....
They just don't underst-oooh look! A bunny!

why wouldnt you look for information? do you not like free money? Even if you can find out whether or not someone behind is folding or not it is worth it.

in 90% of live games, you can get an EXCELLENT read if you just look at your villain as the flop comes. if s/he raised and only half-pays attention to what falls, watch out for a big pair. if s/he's paying very close attention to what's coming, then put him/her on a hand that needs some help or is vulnerable, etc.

so in general, watch the player, and act on your read if the guy is capable of folding. if not, play your cards and punish him/her for being a calling station.

If there are two things LHE players like, they are weed and pornography. The third would be kittens. LHE does not appear on the list.
