Damn that ref, damn Figo, damn van Basten..that pretty much sums it up.We died like heroes once again, and won't win the cup for another 4 years.**** Figo and his Oscar-like acting performance.Van Nistelrooy should have started, end off.

diving is one of worst things about sports. ref totally blew: lots of non-calls and calls that shouldnt have been made. possibly the worst officiating job ive ever seen in any professional sport. yea it's also true we coulda played better. sucks to wait 4 more years.

Ref lost control of that one.Did Figo spit or headbutt? Either way, don't plan on seeing him again. Why didn't Nistlerooy play?
Figo headbutt van Bommel, should have been a red card right away. He also tricked the ref when he acted like Bouhlarouz hit him, when Bouhlarouz infact did not.van Basten thought van Nistelrooy didn't bring enough..stupid in my eyes. He would have scored for sure when he would have gotten 1v1 on the keeper.Man, so sick of this. I hope England kicks their butt.

Wow, I missed a word out through typing too quickly. At least I don't asked stupid questions, get people to try and back me up (and fail miserably), then make a quote of 'at least the U.S dont make stupid rules like that' and then realise they actually do.Just accept you said something stupid, got corrected and get on with your life.Just grow up ffs.

He's british. Give him a break.ANyways, that "elbow" wasn't an elbow, just a clean challange. There should've been numerous calls for diving. Worst officiating so far. What was it, 17 yellows?

Trust me, I don't need a break. He's just annoyed about a previous thread. He said that if after the group stage if 2 or more teams were on equal points, equal goal difference, equal result etc etc against each other, then the fact it goes to a coin flip is ridiculous and that he has lost respect for the torn because of this.I pointed out that the chances of this happening are so remote its not even worth mentioning. It went from there on.He didn't even realise that American Football and Baseball tournaments can revert to that.

Baseball cannot revert to a coin flip...they have a one game playoff where the winner advances.

It was one or the other, and I really couldn't be bothered to search about it. The general tone of the response should have been enough for most people to grasp the general concept of my statement.

Sepp Blatter basically said the ref deserved a yellow card for his performance or lack thereof during the Portugal/Neth. game. Both sides were equal to the task of a rough and physical game, which is part of football, but the referee just let it get out so out of hand that he had no control and had to resort to pulling out unwarranted cards in certain situations rather than others.
