Sit & Go, blinds of $15/$30. All nine players still left, my stack is $1,955, the third-largest at the table.

I'm one off the button with K icon_suit_spade.gif K icon_suit_club.gif . There are two limpers ahead of me, making the pot $105. I raise to $120. The button folds, the SB calls, BB folds, and the two limpers call. The pot is $510.

The flop comes 7 icon_suit_club.gif Q icon_suit_heart.gif 6 icon_suit_diamond.gif . The SB bets $240, the next player calls, and the next folds. The pot is $990. At this point I have $1,835 left, the SB has $1,000, and other has $30. Is this a good time to push in and put them to the test? If I make a smaller raise it's pretty much committing both of them to the pot anyway, so either way all of the money is probably getting in the middle.

I ended up going all-in and both players called. The SB had Q icon_suit_club.gif T icon_suit_club.gif and the other player had 8 icon_suit_diamond.gif 8 icon_suit_club.gif . I was a 2-to-1 favorite to win a monster pot and knock out two players. The turn brought the 5 icon_suit_spade.gif and the river the 10 icon_suit_spade.gif .

Oh well. I still had $595 left and ended up finishing second in the tournament.

You played it fine, if you could see your opponents hands you would beg them to call you. You were never going to lose the eights the QT should have folded, but made a very marginal call and got lucky, never mind next hand.

Good luck

I'm fine with the jam post flop. I hate the preflop play. I'd raise 120 there without limpers...with 2 limpers ahead of me I'm making it 200ish.

I'm not sure I hate the pre-flop raise, the text book play would suggest a bigger raise but the danger is that he would lose all his customers which would be a waste of a big pocket pair.

rasie more preflop to reduce the implied odds they have when they flop garbage two pair hands. I push post flop too, but given such a small raise, I would expect someone actually out flopped you a material amount of times.

****

standaman, if you like not raisng more preflop, you must expect horrible opponents such as these that will pay us off; against decent players, we lose money under raising, if we push these flops automatically

I would have raised more PF.... Flop jam is fine, I would have done the same thing. Sometimes you get called by TPWK (kinda like what happened...) and sometiems they hit a 5 outter on ya. All the money went in when you were the favorite... woopideefriekindoo.
