Now, was he talking about his hand, or his opponents. I can't believe he called there. Thoughts?

Perhaps if the aces weren't aces, then I would disagree (change them to say queens). With those chip stacks, Sb cannot afford to be wrong with this call, which was why I originally thought it was foolish. A A K 9 7 is not powerhouse by any means. Perhaps with a higher kicker with his king, I might have called there, but definately not with that hand and that chip stack.

I didnt give alot of info on the players here, but I guess I should have as it appears to be very relevant. This was from earlier today, where we played on the bubble for over 15 minutes, with the only pre-flop raises coming from me, and the big stack playing hardly any hands at all. He was so passive it was silly. You had no way of knowing that though (my bad).

not a good call, imotoo many slow players that BB could have Ace, maybe even flopped set or Aces Up. Or now, he has a 9 and wants some value1200 stack, calling 300, not way to win 5+1 SnGbtw, I fold preflop a lot as the SB, unless I can raise and pick up BB easily.I"m passive in SB on BonB battles.

twice i was called in a 3/6 game last night when i bet every street and a guy with a straight or flush draw called down, including on the river with Q-high or less. two different guys, two different river calls with T and Q-high. hell, the last time i was bluffing with KJ and still took it down.

I can make that call - your king could very well be winning - any pair likely bets to see where they're at, at some point on an earlier street..I might even lead out to try to get a pair to fold.

btw, I fold preflop a lot as the SB, unless I can raise and pick up BB easily.I must be a moron, actually I was thinking if I were SB I would have raised to $400 preflop then shove in on the flop no matter what comes.But that's the play I will make when it's 4-handed. I don't do these early rounds.

still don't like it.You're not that short compared to othe players, except BBHe will call your push with overs, any pair.If he's getting about 2:1.

I think the call is pretty reasonable. He's getting 2:1. Looks like BB is just trying to pick it up. I think SB has best hand more than a third of the time.If I were SB I may have pushed preflop. I probably have best hand, and may well knock out some better hands with that play. I'd definately rather do that than bet 400, and push any flop.
