Anyway I could have played this hand differently?

if you think he's really bluffing and you plan on calling the turn, then i would go ahead push on the turn. You're giving him more than 3:1 to call you on the river so even though his hand is only a bluff catcher i guess he decided to call anyway with those odds. A push on the turn looks stronger than just a check/check and check/call. I dont see how he would call your all-in on the turn, he might even a throw a 9 away.dont like the way the hand was played, but if youre going to make the move i would do it on the turn.

yeah i probably should have moved in on the turn, this is why i didn't though: i figured if he did have nothing he would check fold the river, i didnt want to commit all my chips on the turn just in case he did call me and flip over 2 pair or something, i was pretty sure he had nothing though just wanted to be positivebut in hindsight an all in move on the turn is looks best

actually the best thing to do is put as little chips in the pot as possible. Nothing wrong with raising preflop on the button, and his minimum re-raise was kind of weird as it gave you the odds to call preflop. Just dump it on the turn, a board of Q 10 9 is pretty dangerous.

I agree with the poster above.That otherr post wherre I agreed, was on the error of calling the turn if you read as a bluff, but actually, I prefer folding. Which I may have implied above. Damn, I love Fridays.
