Reasonable play - his flop bet of less than 1/2 the pot was weak and he's not close to pot committed. Could be a flop that totally missed his hand and he'll shut down after firing one bullet.If he checks on the turn, you can try to take it away from him although you are basically pot committed at that point if you go this route.

me too.As played, I don't mind the call/delayed bluff here. Depends on the opponent. You have to be pretty sure he will shut down on the turn if he missed the flop and doesn't improve on the turn.

If villian checks the turn, we take it away about 75-80% of the time which makes it a viable risk. I figured the combination of the chance I'd hit a king or a queen, and the chance I'd take it away made the flop call +EV. I do go out of my way to see a lot of flop early in SnGs trying to build my stack, and that's why I made the borderline preflop call.In the actual hand, I turned a ten giving me an open-ender. Villian led for something like 320 chips, so I just called trying to hit my draw. On the river, a nine came, making me the nut straight. Villian pushed and showed QQ. So while I technically made mistakes by calling PF and on the flop, I also allowed villian to make even bigger mistakes on the turn and river.Overall, I think that I played the hand fine, as the times I outplay villian postflop make up for when my KQ's initially dominated, and the times when this weak probe bet are a bluff make up for the times that I'm drawing to insufficient outs.

even before I saw results, I thought "sometimes when a K/Q comes, you'll lose all your chips" given his play AK/AQ is not unlikely.how much would you have bet on the turn if he checks a blank to you?I know one thing: players like you drve me crazy. you always think we missed! What's a counter strategy? I"ll c/r made hands sometimes.

I certainly wouldn't say I "always" make this play, not even close actually. However, I'd seen this less than half the pot bet twice from this player, and I was thinking "well, he's either making a mistake by letting me call to the turn and see if he's bluffing cheaply or else he's making a mistake by giving me a cheap price to hit my cards, so I'm going to make him pay for it". If he'd bet 2/3 pot here, I would have just tossed it.

1/2 the pot with QQ here isn't so bad. You don't want to lose hands you have crushed like AJ or 10 10. i personally would be betting 2/3 of the pot but i can see betting half the pot.

This one I will fold preflop. There are still four to act, hero's hand is too weak to call a raise. It's just not the right stage to get into the mess.
