When an idiot gives you a terrific price for a draw, it doesn't mean he has a weak hand. He's being sneaky by betting small. And he might consider top pair bad kicker to be a strong hand. Don't try to push him off; just draw for cheap.

The difference between having a weak hand and believing you have a weak hand is the most significant chasm in poker, especially in assessing whether or not your opponent is strong or weak.

I think this is an even more significant "gap concept" than the one most people know about.

Because he may convey strong, and you may read him as strong, and he may believe he's strong, but not because he is, but because he doesn't know how to read a flop.
"Yeah, well, sometimes nothin' can be a real cool hand."

Oh, another thing about draws.

Flop Opponent bets out, you have flush draw, and have odds but want to get a free card on turn, so you raise.

Turn card comes and misses you completely.

Opponent checks, please don't bet, you got what you want, who cares if his check is weak

You ROCK you got a FREE card WOOT!
