I think most people use percentages of the bankroll for daily stop losses. I would definitely take a break if I lost 10% of my bankroll in one day.For moving down in limits, use the max buy in compared to your bankroll. So if you are comfortable playing 400NL with a 20X buy in bankroll, move down if you drop to 8K. I would like to have a larger bankroll if you count on any of the money as income. (30X buy in for a part-time job, this way if I have a bad month I still have money to work with.)

Perhaps 5/10 NL would be an easy way to get it back......Personally, I wouldn't consider dropping levels if you're playing 2/4NL with 10k , I would play 2/4 down to a 4k BR

I like to have 35-50 buy ins for multitabling nl, so I'd drop down to 1/2 for a bit.

Lots of swings in NL. Technically you should be playing 1/2. NL. That way you would have to lose 5 buy-ins to drop 10% of your BR.Not trying to tell you how to play your game, but just so you know. I've gone broke on multiple occasions, and its from that exact thing.My money maker was NL cash games, and i went from playing comfortably at .50/1.00 to 2/4 and started losing a couple times, and brought my roll back to where i couldnt even afford swings at .5/1.00. so trust me when i say, The more you have for buy-ins, the better life is.

I'm going to call bullsh!t on this one. If you've made 30K doing what you're doing in 6 weeks, then why are you posting threads such as this one? Also, is this the first time you've lost 1000 (since you've made 30,000)? If so wow you are good. If not, just do what you did last time...it seemed to work.
