Here is a hand i had i'm editing out the bets and when i get some responses i will put the entire hand on here...I think this will help as the advice will not be in hindsight.I'm trying to post a lot on the strategy section to get more views here...some good posts are over here that get neglected.NL Hold'em - Sunday, March 13, 06:35:00 EDT 2005Table Table 37414 (Real Money)Seat 4 is the buttonTotal number of players : 10 Seat 2: QPBOY ( $36.9 )Seat 3: katohugh ( $30.8 )Seat 4: Rocker1420 ( $71.35 )Seat 5: fleurdumal ( $33.8 )Seat 6: Sclorch ( $28.15 )Seat 7: snausages ( $31.8 )Seat 9: pokher04 ( $27.35 )Seat 1: MyHuskies ( $23.55 )Seat 10: postplayer ( $25.6 )Seat 8: foxyroy ( $13.6 )fleurdumal posts small blind [$0.1].Sclorch posts big blind [$0.25].** Dealing down cards **Dealt to MyHuskies [ Ad Qd ]snausages foxyroy pokher04 6 players inMyHuskies Rocker1420 fleurdumal ** Dealing Flop ** [ Kd, As, 2h ]MyHuskies Rocker1420 3 players infoxyroy calls ** Dealing Turn ** [ Ac ]MyHuskies Rocker1420 2 players in** Dealing River ** [ 3c ]lol...I probably screwed this all up...anyway give me any ideas how you would play it and i will post full hand and see how i played it

Ah.The problem is it's all going to change as soon as you make the first bet dependent on what the other players do.You should raise pre-flop $1.50, bet out half the pot on the flop and see where you are. From there it really depends a lot on what everyone else does.

yeah it doesn' make sense cuz things can change based on what other people do. $25 NL Hold'em - Sunday, March 13, 06:35:00 EDT 2005Table Table 37414 (Real Money)Seat 4 is the buttonTotal number of players : 10 Seat 2: QPBOY ( $36.9 )Seat 3: katohugh ( $30.8 )Seat 4: Rocker1420 ( $71.35 )Seat 5: fleurdumal ( $33.8 )Seat 6: Sclorch ( $28.15 )Seat 7: snausages ( $31.8 )Seat 9: pokher04 ( $27.35 )Seat 1: MyHuskies ( $23.55 )Seat 10: postplayer ( $25.6 )Seat 8: foxyroy ( $13.6 )fleurdumal posts small blind [$0.1].Sclorch posts big blind [$0.25].** Dealing down cards **Dealt to MyHuskies [ Ad Qd ]snausages calls [$0.25].foxyroy calls [$0.25].pokher04 calls [$0.25].postplayer folds.MyHuskies calls [$0.25].QPBOY folds.katohugh folds.Rocker1420 calls [$0.25].fleurdumal calls [$0.15].Sclorch checks.** Dealing Flop ** [ Kd, As, 2h ]fleurdumal checks.Sclorch checks.snausages folds.foxyroy checks.pokher04 checks.MyHuskies bets [$0.75].Rocker1420 raises [$1.5].fleurdumal folds.Sclorch folds.foxyroy calls [$1.5].pokher04 folds.MyHuskies calls [$0.75].** Dealing Turn ** [ Ac ]foxyroy checks.MyHuskies bets [$2].Rocker1420 raises [$8].foxyroy folds.MyHuskies is all-In [$19.8]Rocker1420 calls [$13.8].** Dealing River ** [ 3c ]Rocker1420 shows [ 6s, Ah ] three of a kind, aces.MyHuskies shows [ Ad, Qd ] three of a kind, aces.MyHuskies wins $47.4 from the main pot with three of a kind, aces with queen kicker.ouch i metioned this in another thread, but i tend to limp in with AQ early and middle disguising my ace to others especially like the person in this hand that come in with A2...I know this can backfire on me, but i feel it has enough value in my bigger pots that it offsets me letting other limpers in.. Also you said raise to $1.50 or 6xbb...I know these blinds are small, but i try to stick with the standard 3xbb no matter what level of Nl i play. but i notice that 8-12xbb raise is more normal for this and .25/.50

In short: Raise, bet the pot, again, bet again. This of course presumes no one plays back at you.
