insane 50k hand

So i am sitting at 50/100 with Crazy_Horse "Ram Vaswani" and this other guy i fold garbage then these 2 go at it this hand comes up. TILTJOHAN raised for $150> Crazy_Horse raised for $800> TILTJOHAN raised for $2,800> Crazy_Horse called for $2,100> Dealing the Flop(8H6d7H)> TILTJOHAN checked> Crazy_Horse checked> Dealing the turn(10S)> TILTJOHAN bet for $3,100> Crazy_Horse, you have 10 seconds to respond> Crazy_Horse raised for $12,400> TILTJOHAN called for $9,300> Dealing the river(5S)> TILTJOHAN checked> Crazy_Horse bet for $10,500> TILTJOHAN, you have 10 seconds to respond> TILTJOHAN, you have 5 seconds to respond> TILTJOHAN called for $10,500would anyone care to take a shot at the handsi will post the ending tomorrow

tilt has a set of 8's, theres no way he checks aces after taking the lead preflop here, ram has either A9h or 99...pretty obvious i think

this is what they had. Tilt had a set of 10s and ram..... had 34 of spades. needless to say crazieness

How the HELL does that guy think its a good idea to call so much money with just a gutshot draw? I know it works out but damn, that is just insane.

Ram didn't call his money off on the turn with the gushot draw. He raised to make a move on the player hoping the four-card straight would scare the other guy off an overpair. The guy had a set and wasn't going anywhere, but just decided to call. It's quite different to raise with a mediocre hand than it is to call with it.
