Here is a hand from a 1/2 NL live game I was playing a few hours ago. Background, 3 new players to the table from a broken game, two of them are very loose gambling players with decent stack sizes, neither are peticularly good players. The other player in the hand is such a ABC player you know what he has every hand. I am sitting at the table with about 400 in front of me.Preflop, I am dealt 97s in
in MP3.UTG+1 raises to 14, MP2 calls, I call, CO calls, Button Raises to 28, UTG+1 calls, MP2 folds, I call, CO calls.*Preflop though process*The UTG+1 is a wildly loose player with a huge stack, and he has trouble folding hands if he even marginally hits the flop, implied odds vs him with suited connectors are huge. MP2 and the CO calling are just building a good pot, I like my hand multiway. My read on buttons reraise is AK, I've played with this guy a lot and he reraises with 3 hands, AA, KK and AK in position. He has a betting pattern though, and this min reraise was AK. UTG+1 calls of course, though he doesnt look happy about it, and CO. CO was on tilt, playing every single hand and hoping to get lucky (which he had been doing).Flop: 8
7
3
I flop second pair, and judging by the looks on everyones face, no one hit the flop. UTG checks, I check, CO checks, Button almost checks, then fires 25 into the pot. This sets CO into a frenzy and he demands the floor be called because it looked like he checked before he bet the 25, floor comes over and rules the bet is legal. UTG calls, I call, CO calls though he is clearly not happy about it, Button looks like he wants to cry that he got called (AK no good, DOH!)Turn: 6
Pot is roughly 225 dollars at this point.I have second pair, OESD and a FD now.UTG comes out and bets 75.I have 300 in front of me, whats my play?

i push...if utg is wildly loose and doesn't get away from hands he hits on the flop, he'd most likely bet if he caught any part of that flop or c/r if he had an overpair....it's not entirely unfeasible that he has A6 or a bigger flush draw, both of which you're way ahead of. you should knock out the stragglers behind you with a push here as well.

[quote name='Jadaki' date='Sunday, June 18th, 2006, 11:11 AM' post='1161106'Does anyone think CRing the flop would have been a good play?[/quote]No.
According to Petoria, I'm the most hardcore Wings fan in Indy, not Indiana. I call Bullshit.
ISAL.
And I would give anything or kill anyone to be with Julia Roberts, Uma Thurman, Diane Kruger, Elisha Cuthbert, and Elizabeth Shue.

If you were as confident in your reads pre-flop I think throwing out a bet on the flop would have been fine. Not only does that set you up on the turn to make a real play at the pot and possibly steal it but your probably getting odds on anyone who makes a big reraise given the turn card.

I'm going on your reads, here. You were pretty certain you were ahead on the flop. There's a billion dollars in the pot already. You have a weak holding. You must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must, must raise and end the hand right there. I'm not even certain what cards you like on the turn other than another seven. RAISE THE FLOP!Okay, so we're past that. :)Do you have any idea what UTG could possibly have here that the 6 helped? 66? 9-10? How about KsQs? As10s? This certainly would be easier if you would've bumped that flop up!I guess I would stick it here and figure I'm ahead of another spade draw and have outs if I'm behind. And, of course, I'm favored against a fold. I certainly would've liked to see you raise that flop!
Peace,
Jay
