Fathers day and Mothers day are so overrated. All made up holidays trying to get us to spend more money. :club:
My biological father died 9 years ago at the age of 67. My mother remarried a nice man a few years later. Less than 2 years after that, she died.Even though my step-father has not been a part of my family for long, he plays the paternal role for me and my siblings (all in our 40's and 50's). He acts as a true grandfather for my younger nieces and nephews. So ... I'm glad I just called him and wished him a Happy Fathers Day. He was home alone after having played some golf this morning. His own son will be joining him for dinner. Here's a speacial "Happy Father's Day" for all you step-fathers out there. Being a father to kids who are not biologically yours more than qualifies you to enjoy the day, too!llou

Zach and I just returned from our day together. He's a great kid and I planned a little something extra for today....He brought me the bottle of asprin and the vodka and tomato juice mixture a little earlier than usual this morning, closer to noon than the usual 3 o'clock to start the days activities...hmmm...I might want to start a new thread with this one guys....As most of you already know, the Icewater family celebrates holidays different than most... and I'd hate to "crash" a legitimate threadas soon as I sober up enough to remember the details I'll share
