It's Rocks to your right, maniacs to your left?
Or do I have it backwards?

If a rock hardly ever plays a hand, there's relatively not as much of an advantage to have position on him as there is to be in position against a guy who plays in every pot. Right?
So... take from that what you choose.

You got it backwords Ricker.
You want the rock on YOUR LEFT, so that you can bluff him off his blinds.
You want the MANIAC to your right so you can choose when to play him, with only premium hands. Also you are not betting into him and having him always raise you.

thanks guys, I don't know why I can't remember this ever. I do pretty well in most aspects of my game except for seat selection.
So, for the next five minutes I'm gonna chant this like a mantra:
Maniacs to my right, Rocks to my left.
Thanks for the help!

Maniacs to your left can be swell in loose games. The Looser the game the more counterintutive your logic should be in regards to position and the Maniac. Personally I like Maniacs across from me. That way others get trapped between me and the maniac. fwiw

Yeah, there are some people that prefer having LAGs on their right, but true maniacs (super LAGs) on their left so that there's more opportunity to trap the field and check-raise.
I am really happy to enter in this site. Poker is one of the online gaming. It is very talented game. In poker game so many persons play with betting. It is almost gambling. It has so many types. Family members also play for fun with this game. We're all new players and we cannot play at 4 tables at once! It's incredible.

I was actualy thinking about the same thing Actuary. Is it really better for a novice or beginer to sit behind a maniac. I mean they may fold hands they should call the maniac with. If they sit in front they most likely will call the maniac's raise with hands that should play welll against the maniac.
