I kind of like it. It seems like it neutralizes the positional disadvantage somewhat by forcing the late position player to put chips in the pot first and to make the decision on the turn. I think I might start experimenting with a check/call, check/fold line when I miss flops with AK. Thoughts?

With that flop, it probably missed both players so a check/call works best against an aggressive player who like to play back against CBs. By check/calling, it's cheaper to get to the turn then by CB/re-raise/Call.Against a weak tight player, I'd go with the usual CB line.

I like it it on flop, but what does villain do when you bet the turn and/or river? I think villain should lead out the turn if he wants to win this pot. If he bets 300-400 on the turn he will know where he stands, and will often take the pot IMO.

If I bet the turn, I'm pretty sure he just folds. I don't bet the turn with a single hand that he can beat. In the actual hand, I had AJ and his AQ held up. The beauty part of the play is that it basically lets you know exactly where you are in the hand, as almost no one bets garbage on the turn into someone who raised PF and then checked the flop. Even if I check behind, I've only got 3-6 outs so the equity he loses compared to not CBing is minimal.
