Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (9 handed) converterPreflop: Hero is UTG with Q :D , A :club: . Hero raises, BB calls.Easy raise.Flop: (8.50 SB) 7 :club: , 6 :) , K :) (4 players)BB checks, Hero bets, MP3 folds, Button calls, BB folds.I have an overcard and a BD straight. I bet to try and get it heads up. I succeed.Turn: (5.25 BB) 5 :club: (2 players)Hero bets, Button calls.I have ONE BIG OVERCARD. I bluff since it's heads up.River: (7.25 BB) 4 :D (2 players)Hero checks, Button checks. He called the turn, so he's not calling me here with anything I beat.Final Pot: 7.25 BBI guess my question is on the turn. Is betting AQo heads up chip spewing? If the K and Q were switched I would have felt more comfortable.I have AKFlop is 76QBut that's not the case.

I guess my question is on the turn. Is betting AQo heads up chip spewing?Depends a lot if he's capable of layig down middle pair here or not.Check-raising the flop is better in terms of fold equity, probably. If it get's cehced around and checked to you on the turn there's now pressure on him (and everyone else who we assume is going to flod as well most of the time) to call a full big bet cold in a tiny pot with likely a marginal hand. Betting the flop makes the pot big enough that he has to be best less often to call the turn bet while check-raising it represents AK and might increase your fold equity because you've shown real agression twice.I don't think you played it badly, though, it's so close that it's not a big deal either way.

No reads yet. It was like my 5th hand at the table.

I actually like the idea of check-raising that flop. Not only is it better for fold equity, it tells you where you are at a little more too in EP with such little information.Good suggestion smash.

The CR would work if the button will def. bet. By checking you do gauge his strength. It could very well get him to fold the flop
