Scott3705 0
MP2 raises to 50 I call w/ A 8 in MP3(unfortunately it folds around after that)Flop (130)8 2 5 Mp2 leads for 100, I raise to 300, Mp2 calls.turn (630)7 MP2 leads for 400. If you call here and a club hits the river, do we have enough left to get him off his hand? Hmmm. 1900:500 on the river. Probably not. I think this is a fold.

Because this is exactly what my first insinct was (that it was an overpair) but tried to confront it w/ this questino.
krup24 0
I agree that is most likely 99 - QQ here. I'm just curious when you started playing so LAGGY.

I'm just curious when you started playing so LAGGY.Since i started focusing on shed online I've been much more Laggy. But i've always leaned more that way cause it's my comfort zone. Sometimes I play much tighter if the table dictates it, but for the most part this is the way I play. But this table was nuts as far as aggression at some points too. Why does qq-99 slow down here on the flop and lead the turn?

I also like to change my range to JJ-99 and include AK.
capthowdy981 0
I'd say 10 10 in the hole, playing it badly because he's short.

Why does qq-99 slow down here on the flop and lead the turn?I think he he's waiting for a non-flush card on the turn. If he figures you for two overs and a flush draw, putting money in on the flop doesn't get him any value.
Naismith 0
I think he's got nothing, personally. Maybe 66 and turned a straight draw. If he has an overpair, he sure let the board get scary.
BIG_L_RIP 0
Ak clubs or similar?
David_Nicoson 1
Ak clubs or similar?I would never play A K like that. I'd prefer to get my money in on the flop, not after I've missed on the turn. What's the logic on that line?MP2 raises to 50 I call w/ A 8 in MP3(unfortunately it folds around after that)Flop (130)8 2 5 Mp2 leads for 100, I raise to 300, Mp2 calls. What you hoping to accomplish with the flop raise? I'd prefer to have a big ace fire a second barrel on the turn drawing to 3 outs. If you don't figure him for a big ace, then I'd think we're were behind.

BIG_L_RIP 0
to avoid being predictable and just jamming every flop, a lot of players will lead the turn with a big draw, essentially naming their price to see the river, or attempting to push you off a marginal hand. Plenty of logic if you think about hands in more than one fashion. Think about the play: hero has RR'd flop, and yet villain is still leading into him on the next street. You'd think twice about raising, again, with A8 there, no?more likely an overpair, or perhaps even 777, but it's a valid line sir, especially if he puts hero on a draw or a middle pair and thinks he has pair outs as well. Scott3705 0
I'm sorta suprised no one thought he had an 8. After I got past the over pair, which I didn't think played it this way at all, I figured he either had 66-77 or an 8 on the flop. He wasn't very confident at the flop and I honestly thought the turn was going to go check/bet/fold before the turn came.

Scott3705 0
This one through me off. Part of it was pretty much being there live. On the flop I knew I had him and thought he had a bare 8 or a slight under pair. When he led into me on the turn.... I was really suprised and wasn't sure what had happened. I tanked for a little and just decided I wasn't ready to believe him and pushed in. (stack is so short, basically the same as calling imo). Villian turned 78 into a two pair and I really thought I should have seen that. the 7 def. helped him and I should have put that together. Caught an ace on the river anyway, so I was sorta glad i was wrong.
