New 10-handed table at a B&M cardroom, $1/$2 NLHE. You take seat 3 and each player buys in for the $200 max.You only recognize two players. One is a friend of yours, who plays what you would call a weak-tight nut-peddling style. The other is a local who frequents the card room. He is somewhat of a calling station, going to the felt with top pair no kicker on several occasions that you can remember. He even goes to the felt with top pair against your nut-peddling friend. He is on your immediate right. You don't recognize the other seven players.HAND #1: You start off in the BB. Two folds, your friend limps, four folds, button raises to $10, SB(local) calls $9. You look down at A :club: Q :D . Your friend already has two red $5 chips in preparation to call. Pot = $24.What is your play? Why?<A> Call $8 and take a flop.<B> Reraise the pot ($40 total).<C> Reraise 2x the pot ($72 total).<D> Fold.

I call.Your out of position, you don't know the player that raised and he has position on you. Your friend also has it, and looks like he wants to play a pot. Since you have good reads on the SB and your friend, if a favorable flop hits you just need to worry about the inital preflop raiser since getting a read on the other two should be easy.

Given the fact that our hero was out of position and he had a good read on everyone but the raiser(as the above posters mentioned), he decided on a call. His friend calls behind. Pot = $40.FLOP: T :D T :club: 7 :D SB sighs and checks. His friend glances at the TV and makes a comment about the NBA finals. The button is sitting quietly, giving away nothing. What should the our hero do now, and why?<A> Check.<B> Bet $20.<C> Bet $40.
