utg+2 is very loose and has raised with 2 pair before on a coordinated board. Was I overzealous on this river think so, I beleive he had either KJ or QQ

Looks fine to me - only K J beats you and what he is doing calling down with a gut shot to the river. River bets look good

Was I overzealous on this riverYes.Just call the raise.For your three-bet to be worthwhile you have to be winning this *outright* most of the time.Most of the time you're splitting and some of the time you're paying off KJ.

I don't think he has QQ here, he would have raised preflop, and the flop instead of calling both.The fact that he checkcalls the flop, I'm thinking 2 overcards.The check-call on the turn, I personally would never chase just 2 overcards to the river, unless I'm getting incredible odds, which would probably mean a pair wasn't going to win it anyway. If he has the J, he's open-ended, not Gutshot like someone above said, plus w/ KJ, he's drawing to the nut straight.The Q hitting, best case scenario, considering how he's played the hand and the fact that he's raising me here, I'm probably splitting this pot, no reason to get into a raising war when there's definite possibility that I lose.
