I know exactly how you're feeling in terms of your sleep schedule. I personally had the same issue where I would stay up so late and sleep in to the evening. The body has some kind of biological clock for some reason. If you sleep anytime after 1am you'll end up sleeping an extra 2-3 hours when your body doesn't really need it. If you sleep at 3am your natural wake up is about 2pm -3pm. Any earlier than that would make you groggy and grumpy. Odd thing is, if you sleep at 10pm-12am, you can wake up at 8am-9am freely and feeling great(the 2-3 hour difference is huge). If your body is healthy, you can get away with 7 hours of sleep and be able to focus with your mind all day. But this requires excercise, running, and diet. I know those hours are not a poker players "schedule". It's not mine either but I force myself to do so because through experience, I know it's hard to cope with. I slept late through my college for like 3 years and I was never able to focus 100 percent. I'd fall asleep in class even when I had 12 horus of sleep blah blah blah, create stress, and more drama starts to happen, get groggy. It really does suck. I had that habit because all my friends had that habit. We'd be online and doing things because that's how it is nowadays. The internet days. Party at 11pm, till 3am internet till 5am. It was a shame. DN, with your sleep schedule I know you're going to have a hard time fixing it. It's easy but not that easy. You have to sacrafice 1 day to fix it. This is what I do. Now that your sleep schedule is late try to stay up as late as possible till mornign time and sleep. LIke go to bed at 9am then you'll wake up around 6-7pm. Then the next day force yourself to stay up till like 4pm AND bam, you'll sleep till 4am-5am and I PROMISE YOU, when you see that sun come up and you've had a full good 12 hours, You'll feel much much better. I hope you feel better in your personal issues. As many people look up to a player like you, your recent journal entries will remind peoplethat you're human. Even successors have issues. Good luck DN

That's pretty funny because it's exactly what I do to fix my sleep schedule normally. Takes a few days though and I haven't had a lot of time recently. Today I woke up at 2:30pm which is an improvement. Two nights before it was 6:00pm, then 3:30pm...

I usually sleep about 5 hours a night. Once in a while it's 6.I don't really feel well-rested doing this, but it's been my normal sleep routine for several years. I sometimes take naps in the afternoon--maybe a couple times a week for a half-hour or so, but it doesn't really make up for the lost hours.I'm tired almost all the time. The problem for me is that I love life. I can't wait to get up out of bed and do stuff. Even though I feel I need it, I just don't want to sleep. Weird, huh?
