I did the same thing in a tournament the other day. I wasn't really paying attention and I got really agressive w/ top two pair K-Q and didn't even see that I was walking into a set. I just handed him my chips.... top two is dangerous.

That's where a lot of money is made, when you flop a set with an A on board. A lot people hate folding top pair and the biggest pots are usually when you flop a set on an uncoordinated board, especially with an A and someone has AK.

Well, your first play wasn't very good. He just kept calling you, probably knowing you would go all in on the river. You've gotta get kinda suspicious if he keeps calling.The 2nd hand, your play was very good. You did exactly what you were supposed to with the best hand and you doubled up.

The raise preflop in the first hand was out of line. The BB is only 0.25, why are you raising 8xBB with KQs?

exactly....in the first hand if you think your hand is good why bet that.....you can only get called by a hand that beats you....say that guy was calling you with top pair queens only....the king on the river would have scared him off....no real logical flush draw...highly unlikley he could have back doored one....but what hand could he logically call you with that you would have beat

You say you are new to poker.My advice is, play lower limits.
