I am a college student who is going to graduate somewhat soon, and I have been playing online poker for a few months now, and live games for about the last year - lots of house games and some good casino experience, 3-6 and 4-8 kill. I want to take online poker seriously, and I'm a fairly successful player - I just have problems with self-control / dealing with my bankroll.Any basic guidelines on how to deal with setting up the bankroll / choosing the right game and such, or any good online sites that deal with this topic? Thanks for any leads..-d

There are various topics in this forum which cover some basic suggested guidelines for bankroll. I would also pick up some of the books written by pros out there as they tend to cover the bankroll topic as well.Generally if you are playing limit games you want about 500xBB to sustain you through the swings. Note, this may not always be enough if you go really sour, but generally speaking this is more than enough to sustain you through the bad times. If you are playing no-limit you obviously need more. I subscribe to the 1000xBB system myself, but most people feel that is too little for no-limit games.
