AOL voters are pretty dumb. I've watched Who Wants to be a Millionaire a few times while waking up the past few mornings. One question was about the Balco scandal and whether it involved "crappy answer A," "crappy answer B," "sports doping," or "crappy answer D."
45% chose Crappy Answer B. 33% chose Sports Doping.

Praying gets you struck by lightning?
of the righteous man is beset on
all sides by the inequities of the
selfish and the tyranny of evil
men. Blessed is he who, in the
name of charity and good will,
shepherds the weak through the
valley of darkness, for he is truly
his brother's keeper and the finder
of lost children.
And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those
who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.
And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.

Or, a person God does not hear was randomly struck by lightning.

Lightning, form of visible electric discharge between rain clouds or between a rain cloud and the earth (see Electricity). The discharge is seen in the form of a brilliant arc, sometimes several kilometers long, stretching between the discharge points. The discharge also sets up a sound wave that is heard as thunder.

Maybe she was Catholic and God doesnt like Catholics. At least that's what I hear from most other Christians. I'd sure as hell lose my faith though, if I said a prayer for my family and then got struck by lightning. Talk about an ultimate kick to the balls.

Of course it's eay to say he is selective, because he is. Blah, blah, blah..... that's all you've got? Seriously, this is your big argument?
Get help- ask for Crow or Tim or anybody with half a brain to help you with your arguments because you need something. Like the Phoenix Suns, you lack depth.

I lack depth? I really didnt feel like getting into all the reasons that God does not exist... What I merely was pointing out that is some people can shape completely random experiences to say it was the hand of "GOD".... that "GOD" intervened and saved me... well you want to have an in-depth discussion please lets start....
What proof is there that god exists?

You first- give me " proof " that he doesn't. Then, systematically I will tell you why it isn't really proof.

The burden of proof is on proponents of him existing. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. The idea that there is an all-knowing, all-powerful being that is extremely interested in the minutia of our existence is most certainly an extraordinary claim.

You assume he is interested, when in fact he actually is only interested in those who are interested in him. The rest, in short, can go to hell.*(Paraphrasing, obviously, his words not mine.)
The idea that we came from something instead of nothing, that we had a creator instead ofjust appearing randomly, is not that extraordinary. It's actually the opposite- it's like if I showed you my brand new Hummer in my driveway and when you asked how I got it I tell you, " I don't know. It was in fact a pile of wheelbarrows not two days ago but I blew them up, and I got this. I don't get it- it seems impossible, but here you go. " You would say, in short " You are lying. " Now, if I told you that some guys built it on my driveway, that would not be extraordinary at all.
The burden of proof has never been on creationists, in that our thinking is quite ordinary, simple really. In fact, neither side at this point can prove there position beyond reasonable doubt, and most intelligent people realize that it will never happen.

You think?
I find it rather old, tired and unimaginative. Basically lacking in any intellectual content.

I don't claim to be an intellectual, and wouldn't want to be. From what I have seen, intellectuals seem to think themselves right into hell.
