If You Were Going To Pick A Trade What Would It Be?

Recommended Posts

Alright so I have graduated with an economics degree and I have a sucky office job. I honestly don't think college was for me but I got my degree to keep my family happy. I am thinking about going back to school to be an electritian or some sort of trade, maybe furniture maker, glass blower, or maybe just even a genral handy man. If you could pick one trade you would like to learn what would it be and why?Discuss

If you could learn something difficult like drywalling or installing hardwood floors...and you could be a contractor that DOESN'T screw people...I imagine you could make a small fortune :)P.S. Is BalloonGuy playing on Sunday?

poker's an honest trade. val_kilmer.jpg
Yeah, if I could go back and spend the 11 years since I was 18 actually learning the game, I'd probably only half-suck by now.

only suckers buck the tigerabsolutely brilliant. Thank you. I knew I made you my Myspace friend for a reason.I'd say Bernie Williams for Miguel Cabrera would be a good trade for the Yanks, but Bernie is the heart and soul for the Yanks, but Cabrera can flat out rake.Who knows?

I'd be an electrician or a JCB driver. Something that keeps you out of the rain, and doesn't require lots of lifting.
I love Junior Bacon Cheesburgers, drive a couple over my place.

It's better to get rid of a player a year too early than a year too late.

Oh yeah, that's what the Yankees are all about. The purity of the game.

bernie is old and not of that much use any more. david delucci is a better all-around player.having said that, williams for cabrera is ridiculous. i don't think it was serious, but seems to warrant discussion if it was. if the marlins did that, the MLB is as rigged as Pokerroom, Poker Mountain and the NBA.

No, it wasn't serious, but I think the discussion was whether Bernie Williams should still be employed by the Yankees.

I was a union heavy equipment operator for 8 years. Running big equipment is way fun, ripping through the pristine forest, smashing the homes of bunnies and squirrels. About $30 an hour now plus bennies. But the entire construction trade is feast or famine.Helicoptor pilot is something that would be cool. Reporting traffic or spotting tuna, or checking telephone wires. Buy your own chopper, and go.Or aerial fire fighting pilot. Old DC-3 goonie converted to dump retardant on fires. Busy busy fire seasons, following by 2-4 months of down time.

installing carpet/flooring pays pretty good too, and it's not that bad
I have some energetic Tile setters working for me who average $12'000 to $15 a month. Hard work but great pay.

Heethcliff Slocumb to the Mariners in exchange for Derek Lowe and Jason Varitek. Now that's a great trade...
Yea you guys fleeced the Mariners on that one.As a Dodger fan I would say any trade other than Pedro Martinez for DeLino DeShields straight up.
