digitalmonkey 929
Let's assume they were both in the prime of their careers and you were going to sign one for a multi-year contract.
wsox8 10
I'll take the sure thing in Ichiro no doubt about this one.

aadams_22 3
Clear choice: Adam Dunn. Ichiro, I think Dunn will contend with Johan Santana and Pedro Martinez for the most strikeouts.
princeof56k 0
I would take Ichiro here.I know Dunns OPS is higher, but I think this might be a situation where that stat fails you. I just think Ichiro is the better player.Isnt Ichiro way better in the field as well?

MDXS 0
It would depend on the makeup of the team around him, how much they'd be signing for, and potential replacements at the position of the one I don't sign. This one's close. I'm leaning towards Adam Dunn. He's a better run producer based on OBP, OPS, RC/27, and the standards like HR and RBI. I'm just wondering if the offensive gap is bridged defensively. Just dug up some WARP3's. I've seen the error of my ways. I'm taking Ichiro.
kers2 0
I thought you were going to say ARod or a bag of Onions. I'll take the OnionsIt's going to be Ichiro in about 80-90% the time depending on the other players around him. He is so versatile he can fit well on just about every type of team. I dont think Dunn does.

One thing to consider in all this is that we haven't seen Adam Dunn's prime yet. He's only 26 and has been doing amazing things for a few seasons now. That was something I didn't totally take into account when I decided to Ichiro. At that point it was Ichiro in his prime vs. Dunn now. I'm still going Ichiro, but I'm less certain about it. TB17 0
I think it would be better to build a team around Adam Dunn. Ichiro only has maybe 3-4 prime years. Also like someone else said, it really depends on the team.A better question would be, if you were the GM of (Insert team name here), would you take Ichiro or Dunn? Let's say you're the yankees , would you take ichiro or dunn?
