Villian (UTG): $435Hero (BB): $891Reads: Hero has been most aggressive at table. Leads with strong hands and/or air. Has backed up every raise preflop with a bet on the flop except once. Hero hasn't been raised yet postflop.Villian: Tight, hasn't been involved much.Table: Tight. Some aggression on my right, but that's about it. Most raises take down the blinds, it's been tough to build a stack.Hero (BB): 8 :club: 3 :D Villian (UTG): Limps, folds to sb who completes, Hero Checks.FLOP 4 :D T :D Q :) ($18)sb checks, hero bets $16, villian min raise to $32, sb folds, hero calls.TURN A :) ($82)Hero checks, villian bets $50, hero calls $50RIVER K :) Hero ...comments on all streets welcome.- Jordan

Must.Checkraise.Turn.You soooooo don't want to see that fourth diamond fall. The naked ace of a 3-flush suit would very much play thishand the way the villain did.I'd raise it to $250.If he calls, and no diamond falls at the river, I push. When the king falls...It's all about guts a that point (but I'm hopinghe's already folded to the raise on the turn)

Agreed, naked ace is a realistic possibility, you shoulda maybe re-raised the flop or definately the turn. That being said, the K may even have saved you a bunch of money...Easy check fold at this point though.

I know. I hate my turn play. The table was playing so tight though it kinda froze me there when I got raised, you know? But yea, in most situations I raise this turn big. Blah.- Jordan

I agree we must checkraise the turn, but I think it is an easy check push. Raising to 250 leaves Villain with somewhere around 150 behind and gives Villain an easy check fold if he misses the river while allowing him to push a river that hits for a small amount we may consider calling.

Just like everyone has said, you must raise and bulid a pot.Slowplaying works once in a blue moon. Even if the board paired on the turn it would be an action killer card. So why wait? Now you have no choice but put out a crying blocker bet and hope for a cheap showdown. (We already know we've lost the pot)

yea, i wasn't even slowplaying in my mind.i got monster under the bed syndrome from his min raise. the table was so tight/passive i just was waiting "to get caught" cause i'd been picking up so many pots...so i dunno..i did actually win the hand which is sick with what he turned, but bleh...just a weird mental psyche hand for me.- Jordan
