1/2 NL Live.

Stacks:
Me: 1350
V1: $300 (just rebought after i busted his stack of 600) Steaming from what he thought was an extremely donky play on my part the prior hand. I assure you it wasn't.
V2: $600 pretty solid usually has pretty big hands when he's shown. my sense is that he's being trickier than what most people think.

V1 brings it in from MP2 for 12. SB v2 calls. I call with a icon_suit_heart.gif q icon_suit_heart.gif

FLOP (36)
q icon_suit_diamond.gif 7 icon_suit_heart.gif 2 icon_suit_heart.gif
Sb checks, I am sure V1 will bet and i go for a C/R push. V1 bets $30, V2 raises to 70. now, i'm not sure where's i'm at. V2 is capable of making this move w/ jq as well as 22. I call and V1 drops out.

Turn (206)
7 icon_suit_spade.gif
v2 checks. now i think he may be scared of me and now i've caught him making a move on V1. I bet 125, call.

River (456)
q icon_suit_club.gif
V2 pushes for about 400. I call.

Did i lose out by not raising the flop? Bigger bet on the turn?

Looks good all around to me. You could probably have bought the pot with a pot-sized bet on the turn. But, if you were hoping to bring him along, I think you bet it right.

I'm guessing he must have shown a queen as well, otherwise you wouldn't feel like you were "losing out".

Flop call is fine especially against a solid/potentially tricky player

Turn bet is about 60% of the pot, I may bet a little harder being that he checked it to you. Maybe 75% of the pot.

River: Nice hand

What did he have???????????

Not sure I understand your question about losing out by not raising the flop?

I think you made the right move to check/raise there if you felt the Villian 1 would bet. With the unexpected c/r from the SB, I like the call with your strong draw, and also to bring V1 along to build the pot. I don't know what V1 could have there that he's not calling $40 more with after you call as well, other than absolutely nothing.

Anyhow, as for the rest of it, I think you played it right. Hard to think you'd get away from top boat.

I don't think I'd have any problem getting my money in on the flop, either, but doesn't change the outcome.

I guess the question is if after the board paired the turn, if your nut flush comes on the river and he moves all in, can you get away from it? If you can, then I like the play. If not, and you're willing to commit all your chips on a paired board, why not push the flop, even after the c/r by the SB?

I was unsure if I was really ahead on the flop and really didn't think i was, but with the strong draw to go w/ it, i thought it was a call. I thought v1 may even come along since the raise wasn't that large and v1's price was ridiculous at that point. to your question....

yeah, I get away from it. As played, I said, "this is so sick. I thought u might have 77 on the flop." so I def. get away from it w/o top boat.
