Don't know if this qualifies as a bad beat? Played passive all the way.2 table SnG. Blinds 50/100 475 chips.Opened for 100 with AKo. SB calls and BB checks.Flop is A85 rainbow. SB checks. BB bets 300.I call, allowing SB to overcall. SB folds anyway.Turn is a T. BB puts me all-in BB has 32o.River is a 4. Straight and I'm bounced out.4 outs. I was 10 to 1 favorite.Must I be the aggressor to qualify as a bad beat?

yes it was but you brought in on yourself...if blinds are 50/100 and you have 475 with AK, you go all-in.

Yeah you gotta move all in pre-flop. So was he holding 67 or 23? (If I'm reading it correctly). Either way moving all in PF is more than likely gonna get you the blinds. Many will suggest that anytime the big blind equals 10% of your stack you should be looking for a hand that you can move all-in with. Depending on what site I'm playing at and how many chips I started the SnG I may allow that to drop down to %5. Especially if it's Party and I only started with 800 chips. Just my thoughtsDuff
