screech 0 Posted May 21, 2006 Share Posted May 21, 2006 3-betting the flop is fine to mix things up, but I think it is usually better to just call down after he raises the turn (especially if you plan on calling a river bet UI). This gives you the opportunity to check/raise if you hit.Also, if your opponent is aggressive enough, another play may be to check/call down from the flop on. You may get him to put in multiple bets postflop with just 4 outs when he would have folded to a flop bet. This play is opponent dependent though. Link to post Share on other sites

This gives you the opportunity to check/raise if you hit.I like this plan; after villain raises the flop, you're only a very slight favorite against villain's range (other than his bluffs), so you're not giving up much by just calling.As played, I'm torn on the river; there's not much that you beat (21 busted flush draws, or else 43, would be the only hands that make any sense); I think it's close, but I'm guessing folding is better.
