screech 0
I think you can find a fold on the turn if you decide to play the hand this way. It's hard to put this guy on a hand that you beat once he 3-bets the turn. You have odds to outdraw 2 pair, but on this board, a player with those stats is unlikely to have a 2 pair hand and more likely to have a set.
CobaltBlue 662
Why not just raise the flop?
screech 0
Why not just raise the flop? That would be the standard play.
greatwhite 0
I don't think it's wise to slow play your hand on a 976 board. I'd raise right away.
CoranMoran 0
This hand has some similarities to another hand being discussed: Preflop: Hero is Button with A, Q. UTG calls, 2 folds, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG calls.Flop: (6.50 SB) 2, 4, T (3 players)BB bets, UTG calls, Hero calls.Turn: (4.75 BB) A (3 players)BB checks, UTG checks, Hero bets, BB raises, UTG calls, Hero folds. In PokerPlayer's hand, it seems like we must fold.In the other hand, it seems like we should call this down. And while I don't disagree with these assessments, I am trying to pinpoint the reasons for this difference?- does the fact that one Villain check-raised the turn rather than bet-raised it matter?- does the fact that one board is very coordinated change our decision?--cm
